A Semi Dream State

As I float around
in a semi dream state
I see a grassy field
with coloured flowers
none of which I know by name

I just see their beauty
and feel a dream like peace
It's a place you feel safe
and want to stay

Even though it's just a dream
it's real to me

Choices

A faraway voice
in the back of my mind
telling me what is right
telling me what is wrong

We all make choices
but do we get it right
sometimes we learn
Sometimes we don't

Sometimes we need
that voice to shine a light
then one day we may just
get it right

Reincarnation

Shards of time
come into my mind
about places I've been
about places I've seen

For a few seconds
I'm back at the scene
walking and talking
with the people I'd seen
at the place of my first death

As the soul rises
I feel reincarnation of the body and mind

A steady stream of thoughts
flowing round my head
telling me what is right
telling me what is wrong

My heart and mind
can only tell me
it can not tell
the fools that do wrong

I can only say
what is right
and what is wrong

In the end
only they can decide

Looking down on a world
of violence and spite
an angel cries

Cries for the children
in a nation of fears
Cries for the people
who should have been their savior

How can civilization
live like this
This was gods creation
not gods damnation

Don't Look Back

Strange shadows
following me as I walk alone
no one for miles
but me and my thoughts

Are these shadows my past
that I must shed
are they trying to tell me
that I need to lay them to rest

Or are they trying to tell me
to stop looking back
and live my life

In the dungeons of your mind
your trying to lock away and hide memories
of your life

Let the pain rise
release it from your mind

Streets paved with blood
From the murders and the rapes
of a lawless world

Our governments send the troops
around the world
Fighting not for justice
but for the oil
And anything else
they can call their own
