Poseidon

Poseidon
(Return To Atlantis II)

(Follow the warm and subtle breeze,
as it will show you life under the seas…)

Travel to any destination along the coast,
here an old and undying love does boast.
Stroll on the beach and watch the tide,
and you will realise two worlds confide,
see how the water fondly caresses the sands,
my daughter held snugly in my hands.
I was born below the crashing waves,
it was there that I built my conclaves.
Deep under the water you will find,
the secret of the birth of mankind,
from beneath the oceans rolling surf,
my sea servants gave life to the Earth.
Around the island of Atlantis,
my wife; Amphitrite, and I did kiss,

Beach Comber

In the old days I turned your windmills to make your flour,
now I turn them and give you some of my power.
Sweeping across the sand, soil and stone,
anger me and I may shake your home,
in hurricanes and tornados I show my might,
as lightning brightens up the night,
I kiss the clouds and they cry their tears.
Through the dales I call my name but no one hears,
down your chimney I whistle my tune,
blowing your papers around the room,
sometimes I am cold, creating a drafty chill,
by creeping under your door or cracks in the windowsill.

In the sky I do walk, whisper and whirl,
even if my path does twist, turn and twirl.
I am stirring the air, blowing free,
so why do you always see me as an enemy,
I know I can howl like a freak,
but I can also softly brush your cheek,
I may seem so alive and I can almost die,

Angel's Theme

Sedated sunglow shines tepid and true,
Illuminating the sky’s seamless chalybous blue,
Albino candy floss clouds do float,
Shimmering in silvery sugared coat,
But stood on terran spherical shape,
An angel surveys the landscape.
She smiles and summons solar heat waves,
Where she tiptoes lush greenery spouts and paves,
This angel coolly whistles and whispers,
Awakening in harmonic hum her sylphic sisters,
Across jade garnished hills comes a rolling mist,
That surrounds and covers her in heaven’s assist,
Around her feet argent frost sparkles and springs,
Sprouting wispy wannish brumous wings,
Hoisting her high into welkin’s domain,
Flowers turn upward to her joyful rain,
Cast and spread from flapping winged form,
Pluvial prescription in sprinkler system storm.
The ever echo of the ascending spirit in the sky,
Sprouting all manner of living things, emeralds to the eye,

Demon's Tears

With magdalenesh thoughts cradled within his arms,
And church bells chiming sabbatical alarms,
A curved caricature weeps with lost love,
Town square suddenly flooded with no clouds above,
Resonate tocsin pealing with creature’s quail,
Welled eyes curse the ground as he swishes his tail,
His celestial love shot down in the sky,
Hands shown supine to the heavens in silent why?
Surely it was not meant to end in such a way?
Felled whilst she aberrated the azure in play!
The glittered iris of her beautiful eye,
Matched the gem of the sky, dual lapis lazuli,
Now that sparkle equalled the tears of demon’s heart,
All good is rung and all reason does depart,
Replaced by molten magma flamed fury,
And all of this world was anathematised by he,
Condemned at the height of once sunny noon,
To forever live in fear under the moon,
The Sun eternally blinded by shrouds,
Of thick plumed, statically charged clouds,

Spice Of Life

What if all photos were the same,
except maybe for the picture frame.
How could you identify me,
from everyone else you see.

Wherever you may go,
your face you must show,
no matter how much wealth,
you can only be yourself,
for you may travel far,
but wherever you go, there you are.
There is no way to escape your fate,
you’ll have to accept all your traits.

If we all looked the same as one another,
and your best friend looked like your brother.
You could play a game of who is who,
and never know if what they said was true.

You could be anywhere,

Simply Dreams

Have you ever jumped from a plane,
free-falling to the ground below?
Have you ever walked the Antarctic
and tussled with its cascading snow?
Have you ever been fired from a cannon,
shot and blown through the air?
Have you ever ridden the biggest, fastest
and tallest rollercoaster at the funfair?
These are the wishes that I make and create.
These are the wonders that I contemplate.

Have you ever stood at heaven’s gate
and knocked upon its door?
Have you ever floated into the sun
and bathed in the heat of its core?
Have you ever found the end of a rainbow
and captured its multitude of light?
Have you ever drifted on a summer breeze,
and rode the winds like a kite?
These are the dreams to which I aspire.

Overcast

The seasons are no long warm,
and I can feel the brewing of a storm,
the clouds are crying, starting to mourn.
Doesn’t matter what we do or say,
each and every hour of a single day,
we slip further and further away.
Where we’re going no one really knows,
who can guess which way the storm blows,
so all the windows and doors I try to close.
If you decide to leave me today,
don’t turn back and try to stay,
as I’ll be walking the other way.
if you search all of your mind,
I think you will try to find,
a sanctuary of a different kind.
I wish it was just a passing phase,
but the storm is blowing too many ways,
leaving us with a bleak sky, a cloudy daze.
I know you like this time of year,
but it is so cold standing here,

Twilight Entwined

Day and night highlights a symmetrical white and black,
while wandering down a dew wet and moss laden track,
a mud marked path freckled with toadstools and mushrooms,
all seemingly encased within misty night time glooms,
but in such bracken-stirred woodlands, nightlife prevails,
with glowing fireflies revealing sloping slugs slimy trails.
Damp dew-licked leaves reflect their own incandescent hue,
from the star’s creamy white to the river’s rainbow blue,
for sapphire moonbeams illuminate bubbling brooks,
while chiming, chirping crickets sing in rocky nooks,
boisterous night flying brown bats chant their ultrasonics,
while yellow speckled bugs murmur blissful oblivionics.
From breeze dancing buttercups scenting sweet maybes,
bare-backed beetles dawdling dandily in bosoms of daisies,
through to the distant humming of a darting dragonfly,
and the percussion of a moon seeking moth fluttering by,
they will majestically capture you, magically in the night,
spellbinding you with seductive sorcery, stunning your sight,
because of all the romantic wonders that mankind can find,
there are none greater than the eurhythmy of twilight entwined.

Close Your Eyes

I am walking the streets at night,
bathing myself in the moonlight,
watching others go about their business,
so many people living in the darkness,
but this is not a dark and colourless land,
for you must try and understand,
that here your thoughts are divine,
as every moment is frozen in time.

Close your eyes, forget your name,
for in darkness we’re all the same.
Close your eyes, then lose yourself,
for you’re the same as anyone else.
Close your eyes, release your past,
for the future is the one and only task.
Close your eyes, follow your soul,
as it will make you complete and whole.

I am lying awake in my bed,
thinking about what people have said,

Forever Live & Die

In Gloaming's growing grey shadow,
The dying Sun turns the landscape sallow,
Radiant solar souls slowly sink below the horizon,
Succumbing to Shadow's sickly reason,
Aside from wind blown leaves and rocking chair,
Last golden glints dance upon porch otherwise bare,
Inside a static scene upon a TV screen,
a small boxed blizzard and phosphene,
Casting cremated ashen grey span,
Of light upon a sleeping woman,
Darkness rouses a Dreamstealer refined,
Imagination ripped from sleeping mind,
Still raw, writhing and malevolent,
Pure malice and evil intent is rent,
And placed in the waking world,
Reality bent, curved and curled,
To create a fearsome unearthly error,
That spreads a disease called Terror,
A living nightmare walking freely,
Blood is sprayed so freckly,
