Lies Cover Up
Those Immaculate frocks
And starched pristine collars
Draped Sin mocks
In sacramental cover
Fake rituals in presentation
Cloak with some incense
And cathedral deception
A murder of Innocence.
Hidden lies mar Childhood
Shattering its frail Faith
Licensed evil in priesthood
Dip a child in a sad fate.
Cover up in high vatican places
Down to the lowest ranks
Bowed Truth shocks angelic faces
As foul scent to Heaven stank.

What Love Is
Love's a strong untouchable bond
That ties with cords of deep affection,
Ties that reach and go beyond
Time and distance or situations.
Love's goal is good for a loved one-
It will persist to give the best.
Though in return it may have none
It will still hold on to the test.
Love will trust and never blame,
Forgiveness given more than once
Will try again and fan the flame,
With fervent hope, will take the chance.
Love is kind and always patient,
It is not rude and not demanding.
It always listens and makes amends,
That Love is pure and everlasting.

Where Hate Comes From
Rejection of a child
Blackens his world with hate.
He never grows up mild,
But with anger his heart pulsates.
He always sees the wrong
Or the ugliness of his life,
Confused as to where he belongs
He wallows in fear and strife.
Rejection keeps him hating,
Imprisons him in venom.
It devours his every thinking
And strikes everyone who will come.
There is no cure for this toxin-
It's a poison that creates the monster
It erupts from the hate within,
And destroys the Source thereafter.

The Joker is Blind
Blindness is very common
Particularly with views
And those with myopic vision
Well, they are excused.
Obviously they're unaware
Of sane platitudes
Their philosophies they share
With some attitude!
Like a doctor who explains
How to repair a plane
Blind and myopic men
Are intellectually insane.
A myriad views laid out
Analyzed, they're not logical-
It makes one want to shout
'You are nothing but comical! '

I Have No More Time Really
I find I have no more Time really
To let Anger in and do some chatting
Or with Grudge have some repartee -
I think we had our permanent parting.
Nasty Ridicule has never been here
We were not such good friends, you see
And whenever Sarcasm comes to appear
He gets no cordial attention from me.
Conflict never made first base, I find
He has no appointments and cannot come
My heart's room can house only thoughts Kind
Forgiveness holds the key to welcome some.
I find I have no more days really
So I schedule each day as my probable last
Today Death can come uninvited to me
So my clean heart for me is a must.

Just Being Nothing
Comfort zones embrace you
As you bury ostrich heads
In metaphysical sands
Of unmindful, carefree -
Superficial stands
Devoid of conviction
Unconcerned and unaffected.
They're dying, so what?
You enjoy life's consumption
When you want to be
With what you want
To be seen in,
That's life to you
It's what your fiber is!
Your words are all empty sex
And emptier is your heart
In your world of inhumanity
Existing as cold manikins
Dressed in satin Apathy
Chilling in your hollow Self,

The True Life
Those who trust in lying vanities
Forsake the grace that could be theirs
They try to earn what's freely given
The Gift to be as Heaven's heirs.
Novenas, masses, sacraments -
Idols mute and sadly worthless
Arrayed to be Deception's garment
These fail to give man holiness.
The Gift of Life came from the Cross
It is received by Faith and Trust
The LORD Christ Jesus paid the Cost
Only though Him, believe we must.

Buried Treasure
You are not gone for I have you
In my heart's treasured memory
Where even Time cannot subdue
Love that was eternally free..
No changing seasons will fly past
No summer, fall, or cold winter
Will ever touch, my love will last
For its own spring remains forever.
I have you here and you are mine
The treasure sealed and sea-buried
There is no key, no cabled line
And the anchor there, all but rusted.
No hope for it to be uncovered
Unearthed, revealed, again displayed-
Yes, I have you to be remembered
And a heart of gold for you there laid.

Burnt Afghan Girls
They protest the burning of a book
But turn a blind eye to the burnt girls
Afghans need to take a hard look
An imbalance of Justice now unfurls.
How tragic for many of those teen brides
To lose their youth in that tradition
It benefits only the fake macho side
Of self-serving men in that nation!
Women are viewed as things to sell
To serve as wife-maids at a young age
And many have horrible tales to tell
So to escape, set themselves ablaze.
What kind of nation can treat girls like this?
They even forbid their education!
They bomb the schools to make learning cease
Such methods may soon bring annihilation!

Listening and Learning
Be slow to speak,
But be quick to listen
You will gain what you seek,
Like all wise men.
The one who observes
Learns a treasure of truth,
And soon will he serve
With excellence, contribute.
Be slow with your anger
And be careful with words
You'll be free from much danger
And your life from discord.
There is strength in meekness
In holding one's temper
It's the sign of true greatness,
Of honor and character.
