The State of the Earth Address
The earth is in a kaleidoscope
Of misery devoid of hope
Swirling around its global axis
Lost in its madness such as this.
Wars and famine, hate abound
Death and destruction now surrounds.
Loss of homes and loss of lives
Lost even is the will to survive.
The most dangerous animal now set free
Man, the thinker, can no longer see
The bullets he fires, the bombs he blows
Spread hate like fire, will he never know?
A hornet's nest had been opened wide
Stirring more wars that break men inside,

Only Two Can Tango
It has always been what she said
Like Gospel truth you consider
And sadly, it makes our love so dead
When all you listen to is - her?
I wonder what great magic wand
Curls you up around her finger?
And then make you fail to understand
My words that only seem to linger?
How can you believe all that she said
And forget that it's me who loved you?
You have no trust and I'm filled with dread
I wonder whatever has she done to you.
Caring is not about competition
And for that, I think I will let you go
In this love affair you have my resignation
Because I believe only two can tango.

Words Reflect the Parent
Words reflect the parent that raised you up
What they have taught you all those years
Words can say more than just enough
And show the person with his hidden fears.
Words tell more than what eyes can see
They uncover the heart of the man really
For they come from within the core of the man
The heart source of anger, rejection, and want.
A person who speaks with words so obscene
Tell the whole world of the roots where he had been.
His words portray parents who may have failed him
And with curses he lived at every beck and whim.

If I Can Teach This Heart
If I can teach this heart to stop
Loving you so much it hurts me,
Then maybe my brain that's on top
Won't ache from such frivolity.
Unruly emotions consume-
My heart beats a mind of its own,
Tell me when will my sleep resume?
This tired body wants rest alone.
Oh why can't the heart just obey?
In beating compliance submit
To wisdom my brain doth relay,
Not stressing it to the limit.
If I taught this foolish heart then
Not to see you and hear your voice,
You know I'll never love again,
A Stone Heart never had a choice.

A Lesson From Escalante
It was an instant in eternity
Some words that strike and linger
Touch cords in one's humanity
With wisdom to make one ponder
In life we face inevitable truth
There is some failure and defeat
But lessons learned from these bear fruit
When falling comes, to rise and meet
Again to face life's challenges
To not bow down nor count the falling
But to write there boldly in life's pages
The many times one gets up... rising.

Life is Not An Easy Playground
Know that life is not an easy playground
Unless you were blessed to be a royal
Born with a gold bejeweled crown
With obedient subjects at your disposal.
Life is brief, an unending battlefield
Of various trials, of tears and fear
Of overcoming Fate, never to yield
To win for the sake of all we hold dear.
Life is a long journey made with each day
And the roads that we take may be narrow
All the people we meet affect us in some way
As we stumble or fall, and get up from our sorrow.

Time
As precious as the golden sands
That fleeting winds blow freely,
Once in flight, he never lands
And with no leave, departs quickly.
He does not stop for any master,
Nor does he wait for any king.
For those who love, he will not falter,
For the dying, he is everything.
He mocks those who are wealthy,
His price has value more than gold.
Forever fleeing is his duty,
A fugitive we cannot hold.
So while he's in our company,
The best in life we have to give:
In work, in love, in family -
For Time when gone can't be retrieved!

To Live A Hundred?
To live a hundred, I cannot
Imagine how it will be
With silvery hair and all that
Oh, on a wheelchair I could be.
There will be bladder trouble,
And my memory may falter-
Perhaps I will be able
To wear polka dotted diaper?
My teeth will sink in the corn cub,
And my ears will dwell in silence;
Lip reading! There's the rub,
And this silly incontinence.
Names won't be remembered
And faces will be vague,
I may struggle with each word-
Yes, old age is such a plague.

His Healing Grace ~ Acrostic # 5
He gave forgiveness for all who repent
In His great Mercy paid it all at Calvary
Sacrificed so perfect, Grace touched you and me.
How can one receive the Gift so pure?
Each one can take it from His Word
All who turn away from sin are sure
Love and peace His Grace pours forth
In all of that He reigns as LORD
New creations only He can promise
God is Faithful and He will do this.
God gives new life as you turn to Him
Restoration and healing He alone can give
Almighty and eternal is your God within
Christ said you will not perish but eternally live.
Everything God said is true...so believe!

Apocalypse
Reading the signs of a coming storm
Devastation as written in Destiny
Clouds of War starting to form
Ushering the demise of Humanity.
Listen and listen well to this
There is no turning back of pages,
Watch carefully so as not to miss
What was prophesied through the ages.
When men, on their foreheads have been marked
Or on their hands, the marketing code -
Then this confirms no idle remark
What has been written, what was forebode.
Fail not to seek the right Choices
Stand up for whatever has been True
Men were made free to speak with voices
Be human, not robots, all their lives through!
