No Smoking
My temper is quite volatile
When personal space is transgressed
My acerbic tongue can almost kill
With my words of anger addressed.
The air that I breath is sacred
And with all due respect please maintain
That although you may smoke, remember
To keep my air free from the stain.
If you must, then please go a distance
For the cigarette smoke makes me sick
I don't need any cancerous substance
To inhale in my air, that is tragic.
We all have rights that is true
Non-smokers need their good air
To one who smokes, this is what he must do
Smoke in one place and NOT everywhere.

When Danes Slaughter Dolphins
Whatever could have been their sin?
These creatures slain, these dolphins?
Massacred and killed for a despicable sign
Of manhood, adulthood, what insane design!
Their blood flows down the oceans, shed
Danish humanity is thus proven dead
What culture so vile, what abhorrent insanity
Towards creatures defenseless facing such cruelty?
No rational beings and no literate nation
Will allow this sadism and abomination
But it happens with the Danes, and it is irrational
A practice that man is the most cruel of animals!

Lesson From Oscar de la Hoya
Life is ten percent of what happens to you
And the ninety percent of how you react
Choices make what soon becomes of you
And that my friend, is the undeniable fact.
Choices can make or break the man you are
And no one else is responsible for your life
Family will reinforce your choice so far
Still you have the will to grow or stay in strife.
'L ife is 10% what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it'
(Chuck Swindoll)

Dear Heart
If I could have another life
I hope I'd find you there
Perhaps the love would then be right
And you'll be my answered prayer.
If I could have another life
You know that I will do my best
To reach for you and set my sight
With you, I know my heart will rest.
But life comes only once and then
All that remains is emptiness
My love has died and never given
A chance for it to gain happiness.
What matters now in eternity
Without you all is darkened pain
There is no dawn of hope to see
Your love, my dear heart, once again.

His Reckoning
No man lives forever
Even a powerful one,
He will die sooner or later
With just a breath, he's gone.
Dictators, presidents-
Whatever their positions,
No escape when Death is sent
No political negotiations.
God has a way of removing
Puny abusers of power
For they soon end up dying
From illnesses that plague after.
Man's pride should bring him low
For he is just a mere mortal,
His life, he does not know
Is held by the God Who's eternal.

The Falling 2013
Their enemy will reign over them
The die is cast and it will happen.
Hardness of heart, their post mortem
This proud blind nation will not rise again
Signs of falling they do not see
Too blind and filled with callous pride
Their enemies now take the steps
To mark their graves from side to side.
Rejection, scorn, of the One true God
That could reverse the curses laid
Have opened now the doors they had
And soon their loftiness gets paid.
Watch with careful, diligent study
The Falling Nation grope on knees
Darkness covers land and seas
Its young cry out like sheep that flee.

Whatever Have the Governed Become?
What ever have the governed become?
Mere puppets fed some grain
Of fancy lies as elections come
As though they lack some needed brain?
What ever end shall the governed be,
Mere numbers on the survey scale?
Pressed upon and taxed so freely
To pay for debts when leaders fail?
Why does the governed keep so silent
Accepting all in meek obedience
When in their hearts Protest is bent
On shouting out their very Conscience?
No, the governed will speak and rule
No more of lies and sheer Deception
Governed we are and we're not fools
We will not cower in the face of Corruption!

For John and Wayne
We all had past regrets
But take a moment's pause
The pain we must forget
And the scars these may have caused.
With hope, we move on forward
Unhindered by those hurts,
For the future holds rewards
And ways to regain self-worth.
Each passing day is ours
A chance to win our battles-
Though with age, Time's quickening hours
May soon take us out of the hurdle.
As a friend and a fellow soldier
We hold friendship in the battle of life
With our God and with all our prayers
We'll find victory through all the strife!

The Lust For Power
The lust for power consumes men
Blinds the mind and pollutes reason
Diverts good purposes and then
Corrupts the character's condition.
The lust for power is seductive
Erodes the noble and benign
Ignores all truth, it's so destructive
Insatiable hunger is there assigned.
A dragon of three heads set free
Devours all who would come near
Lust for power grows greedily
Claws in position, breeding fear.
It lacks all sense of decency
And by callous ardor will try to hold
The power it gained deceitfully
Ignoring Justice and Truth foretold.

Lord You Overwhelm Me
Lord You overwhelm me
I grope for words to say,
Your Presence does impart
Such comfort when I pray.
Though faced with so much hindrance
My writing's for your Glory -
No matter what the resistance
You bless my poetry!
I trust in Your Unfailing Love
Your Hand will always be
My great protection from above -
Yes, Lord You overwhelm me!
..................................... ........................................
'I love You, Oh Lord my Strength.'
