Symphonies of birds
in orchestra with sun rays
awakens new day.

There's More Where They Came From
There's more where they came from
The poems that were birthed from my heart
That is where my words have found their home
That is where my poems will always start.
There's more where they came from
Some may be lost through destructive forces
Still they are born from this breathing passion
And shared with love, to give happiness.
There's more where they came from
And perhaps they will only cease
When the poet in me has died and gone home

Some friends come
In life like breeze
Touching softly

A Fish Eye
A fish eye just looks straight
It never shows emotions
It cannot refuse a bait
That may take it to oblivion.
A fish eye can only stare
Taking everything in one look
In innocence it will dare
To try what it's like on a hook.
A fish eye never cries
As the body grows limp in pain
Eventually it will die
And its scales go down the drain.
A fish eye you cannot eat
It seems to be looking at you
Each spoonful of fleshy meat
Seems to ask 'What did you do? '

Woman
No, I will not wear veils
Nor walk behind a man.
I will always speak my mind
And be my own woman.
With honor, I will earn my keep
And never be a man's slave,

Reaping
Reaping fruit from words
Now laying curses down
Disaster it accords
As poverty now surrounds.
Ignorance of effects
They're sowing verbal causes
Now this Land of Rejects
Lose hope with money pauses.
Words declared grow active
And those who fail to see
The things they write, say, and give
Canceled all prosperity.
Nations then will laugh
Deception reigns all over
This Land will not have enough

A True Friend
To find a true friend is life's blessing
Like a treasure of precious gold
Its value keeps increasing
With its warmth as years unfold.
To be a true friend one must be giving
Heart sincerity and kindred care
In times of joy or tears and failing
A hand to hold, that friend is there.
A true friend is closer than a brother
He tells what's wrong just to correct
Knows your weakness, judge you never
And understands you are not perfect.

Pride Goes Before Destruction
Pride goes before Destruction
And for those who fly so high
In clouds they bask in sheer Deception
With thoughts of heights they bask in lies.
Those who love to soar the skies
Get blinded by the light of Sun
Their haughtiness divert their eyes
And with their falsehoods, come undone.
Those who are up go nowhere but down
As the rules of Physics so declared
