Kandahar 2012
Just get them out of there -
It's a lost cause for vain glory
A people that can never be won
In a stage of endless hostility.
Why lose more sons and daughters?
It is time to take them home now
It's a conflict with no winners
Leave the land that will not bow.
We can find no justification
For the women and children dying
But when soldiers are losing their reason
Then it's your people you must be saving.

Patience Tested
Lost my account for a few days
The stress consuming me
Oh, the password's out of place
Won't work in this technology!
Would the test break my Patience?
Such a messy thing this is!
Seven hundred poems in absence
What a loss I would miss!
It said there's no account on file
Did it all just disappear?
I have been trying all the while
Glad it did not take a year!

Watching Aurora
The stillness of the night now breaks
As the roosters announce, Aurora wakes
In magical splendor unfolds her garments
As deep blue turns to magenta's raiment
Then softly sheer lavender lace the sky
Too magnificent to be drank by the eye
Undressing, she then reveals her hues
Of bright red, and orange, then yellow on blue
Each day that dawns is a spectacular sight
Watching Aurora is a wonderful delight.

Just Another Dream
Last night I dropped a dream
It turned into a moonbeam
I tried so hard to chase its hue
And then I looked, it became a dew
Too soft to hold and crystal pure
Fell on a flower, so demure
As the Night in silent serenade
Watched the tiny moonbeam slowly fade
Then with the light of coming Dawn
I woke, the dream, like mist had gone!
I tried to recall if the dream was mine
But the Day had turned it into sunshine.

Cyber Stalker Cherielyn
Cyber stalker
Preys on the web
From a call center
Bored and drab
Quite pathetic
In a mental trap
Gravely sick
All warped up
Sends phishing mails
Sends useless texts
But her efforts fail
She got me vexed
Traced her and so
This time I am
To her will go
Reveal her scam
Report her ruse
Get her banned
For cyber abuse
To jail she lands

Without You
Since you were gone
Each breath I take
Leaves me undone
As my heart breaks.
Deep despair
And cutting pain,
You are not there
I'm alone again.
Endless dying
Loss and torment,
Ceaseless crying -
My strength is spent.
Oh please return!
Each day I die,
Let your love burn,
New hope, for you and I.

Audit
On borrowed time I might stay
As multiplying aches abound
The will is there but I must say
Each day's reprieve keeps me around.
This old machine's dilapidated
I've earned my full life depreciation
The strength is slowly being debited
My books are due for investigation.
To heaven I'm ready for my accounting
The plus and minuses will rate me
But sure I did my best in living
And my fees are paid for in eternity.

Born To Win
Some people are born with spunk
And some with just lazy genes
Some people are blessed with grit
They understand what Work means.
But some people are born to complain
To blame everyone and everything.
To listen to them, what a pain!
They never get to the point of Trying.
If other people can achieve
A better life for themselves by trying
I wonder why some people believe
They were born to lose, yet go on living?

Man Kissing Man
They insist their lifestyle
Is not wrong
When people all the while
Give reactions so strong?
Indeed is it true
Nobody gets offended
Why is it people do
Still call it abhorrent?
Actions that are not normal
Will produce repulsion
Man's breed is social
With rules and conditions
People react and express disgust
When things abnormal are displayed
As the times now demand we must
Say the message, have it conveyed

Tears
It comes with a lump on the throat,
Conceived by a gripping pain.
In the absence of comfort sought,
There's a need for release again.
First formed with a deep sigh,
A quiver of the lips tries withholding
That tiny dropp from the eye
From eventually...finally, falling.
As the weight from the heart breaks,
It flows with abandoned speed.
A torrent of drops the eyes forsake,
The water of relief, tears indeed.
