Lost Generation, Dead Nation

She's seems so very young
She should still be playing
That's not where she belongs
Her youth is abruptly ending.

Dowry had made her a slave
To a husband who's half a man
For who ever would be so naive
To marry a child, those Afghans!

This practice will see the demise
Of their future lost generations
The nation that devours its young dies
And takes the pill of self-destruction!

My Crime

I get lost in metaphor,
I'm confused with simile
Or what analogy is for,
Though I try some imagery.
I transgress with my meter
And force with my rhyme,
I guess as a writer
That is my true crime.

'A man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.'

To dream is Freedom sought,

Each day is Opportunity
Another step to Growth.

To Love is truly caring
Affection pure and good

And Faith in God believing
His Grace is spirit food.

To try again is Courage
And to work is Dignity

Thus recorded in our page

Poverty's Grass

Arrogance said
We eat Poverty's grass
As Mockery fed
Biased high class

Now the famine
The Suicide breed
Pride is the sin
Destroyed your seed

We may eat grass
But you eat the soil
Your words are brass
And now you recoil

Grass tastes better
That you must know
But Death is the bitter
Seed that you grow

Ambidexterity

Was born with this quaint skill
But blessed in my perplexity
I use both hands which I feel
Explains the Creativity.
With either hand - yes, I can write
With them I cook, and paint or sew
I draw with the left, that's alright
Write with the right hand, even so.
There is no conflict in my brain
No stress or anxiety at all
Though my arteries do cause me pain
I am quite happy I am normal!

Ambivalence

Ambivalence says 'yes' when meaning 'no'
A shifting view that sways as palm trees do

No steady gait, no stable ground
A constant swirl like wind surrounds

Fleeting clouds that drift and slowly fade
No firmness there in many choices made.

Ambivalence is true love's death poison
Its venom potent as it brings confusion.

Monster Story

A blind eye to an obvious wrong
A deaf ear to a righteous plea,
Confused affection though it's strong-
A wayward love, it cannot see.

Withhold the rod to correct
A child in tolerance is set,
It breeds abuse with neglect
And so discipline, it will forget.

The child so bred when he grows
Crooked, warped in character
Without the truths that he should know
He ends up as a social monster.

With Pity

With pity I shall view
Your life and all you do

Your words are laced with wrong
And in the end where you belong.

With pity I conclude
Your fate on judgement day

Your curses they prelude
What eternal fire arrays

With pity I shall then
View you from there in Heaven

When you shall then be burned
And regret all words you've spoken.

Removed But Not Destroyed (Poetfreak Site)

Lost poems are like children
Missing from parents
Birth from thought but then
Deleted by evil agents.

Perhaps the trolling people here
Who think they enjoy destroying
Our work, to no longer appear -
Will find their pranks... backfiring.

Evil has a way of self-destruction
Like rust it eats up the person inside
And a lack of peace gains intrusion
Into the heart, no matter what they hide.

Greed Counts Currency

Greed counts currency
While sheer Poverty cries,
With mocking mirth and glee
And a twinkling of the eye.

Greed counts currency
While a Nation slowly dies
Calloused Shame is empty
As Fear closed Freedom's eyes.

Greed counts currency
As in Anger a people cry
The Lust for Power may see
Them give Revolution a try.
