Like Wind
Women change their minds
Like wind changes course
They easily leave behind
Theirs loves with no remorse.
Women change their views
Like wind changes force
A right they always use
That they are women, of course.
But winds can hurt your eye
And women can crush your heart
Though living you want die
Till another makes Love start.

My Children Dear
My daughter Jessica
Leaves me with a dilemma
She loves to bake
But crafts we make
To pay those bills
Manana
My daughter Jennifer
She is the lady preacher
Had a degree as therapist
But handles now
A prayer list
Alleluia!
My son James Paul
Eldest of all
He loves to do Adobe
In graphic arts
Lies there his heart
But I do

What's Inside?
He who sees the sunlight
Give thanks for each new day,
He keeps his Hopes always bright
And smiles Sadness away.
He who dwells in Darkness
Will brood and sulk, decay.
His life is all Unhappiness
Thinks wrong in what we say.
Water reflects the face
A heart reflects the man,
What's inside marks a trace
Of a good or evil man.

When I Think of You
Fireflies freely roam
Around these verdant trees
They always bring me home
Thoughts beautiful as these.
Moonbeams and soft lights
With little cricket sounds
And coolness of the night
Like Love you give surrounds.
And when I think of you
There's flight to your embrace
Dreamed happiness comes true
My lips have touched your face.

My Writing's Not Yet Done
When I shall die
And in my casket lie
Lost in eternal sleep
No reason there to weep
Rested in deepest slumber
Gone will be my laughter
My eyes will be closed
Like a withered red rose
And no more to hear
The songs I hold dear
Quietly like the setting sun
At close of day, I will be gone.
But not yet, for my writing's not yet done.

A Baby's Laughter
Each time I hear a baby's laughter
I feel a tickle in my heart.
I have to stop and listen better
Catching each note of musical art.
Such innocent laugh in joy released,
A soothing balm for a wearied soul.
All earthly worries seem to ease,
A baby's laughter makes me whole.

A Man Reaps What He Sows
Careless intent reaps much discord
And many a time, it harvests offense
A bitter root grows from our words
As the wounds it cuts are truly immense.
And God will not be mocked
A man shall reap all that he sows
Man's words be weighed the Good it lacked
For God does hear and knows.

Sunflower Lessons (Naani)
Seeking sunlight...
Each day is joyful bliss,
Floral beauty in yellow delight
Lessons in Hope, are these.

Peacock
Regal in blue green feathers
Spread like a giant royal fan
He swoons a peahen lady lover
And hopes to win her if he can.
As he proudly struts about
He tries to catch attention
No other suitor so devout
Would court in such a fashion.
The peacock is magnificent
A feathered work of art
A lovely entertainment
His courtship does impart!

No Money in Poetry
Oh he wants me to stop
Writing poetry for nothing
He'd love to see me drop
This pen for other things.
It will not make me rich
That's what he always says
Late nights of writing which
Wastes my time and does not pay.
In poetry there is no money
But I need to be a writer
For I can say this truthfully
There's no poetry in money either.
