Those Who Copy Murder Poetry
Unkind are those
Who disrespect
Their fellow writers' work,
They presuppose
We can't expect
That duplication lurks.
So with temerity
Their works will show
That titles are just 'copy'
They mock the art,
And refuse to grow
...Then murder Poetry.

I like Ogden
Love to write like Dorothy
But then again,
Frost takes the better of me.
I am amazed by Hughes
Intrigued by much of Browning
But I am not a recluse
And do enjoy my writing
So as my words go forth
I hope they sound like Rossetti
I shall dwell on Wordsworth
And keep on learning poetry.

Heart Rules
How can you teach the heart to forget?
The face, the voice it yearns each day,
To rise with sunshine, not regrets,
And thoughts of you all swept away.
How can one teach this foolish heart?
What rules be made for it to follow?
For it decides where to depart
And there, the Mind refuses to go.

Before You Go
Like leaves that fell, never to return
Those dearly departed have gone away
And we who remain continue to yearn
For the human ties we still miss today.
Resolve then to make much needed peace
With those who are here to embrace
Words be said to make conflict cease
All of life's bitterness now erase.

A Diamond
Searched into the depths of this heart
Ravaging through buried bits of sorrow
Trying to find what once was a part
Of the treasured love I used to know
Through crystal tears and times of gold
Recalled the bejeweled love I knew
Like coming home once more to hold
A precious diamond that I know is... You.

Spinners On The Net
For knavish gain they spin
Manifold lies and stories
All borne by Greed within
Sly charlatans are these.
Spinners on the net
Weave very crafty video
Obviously to get
Donations, that is so!
Beware and check them out
Although the cause be noble
Probe what it's all about
Lest you heed a spinner's call.

In Him There is No Fear
When oceans move to swallow
And mountains slide to bury
And all don't know just where to go
When Death's near you and me.
When winter cold comes killing
And land breaks open wide
In Him we find there is no fearing
The Lord our God is by our side.

Those Who Passed Away (Choka Poetry)
Remembering them
with everything that blesses
hoping to contain the thoughts
purified by tears
mellowed by time eternal
random pictures from the past
of childhood embrace and love
separations, longings for
those who passed away.
For my parents who passed away in 2009, and 2010 - with all my love.

Pointless Words, Aimless Thoughts
Discoursing well beyond
What's cordial, pertinent-
Exposes there, I find
Some hidden sentiment.
There's need to push and win
To wear a mask of Pride,
And Prejudice within
Breeds ugliness inside.
When words are just so many
Surely Sin is not absent,
Even though eventually
One gets to win an argument.

Haiti Lesson For Me
Each day could be my last
So I resolve to be
Determined and steadfast
To be content and happy
Whatever I may have
Life is still worthwhile
And things are not so drab
I could always give a smile
A caring word or handshake
Say a prayer here or two
Friendships there to make
And a lot of good I can do.
