Oh, People!
People can lift you up with comfort
People can bless you with joy,
People can take you for your worth
But some people can hurt and destroy.
People can give you so much love
People can also give you pain,
People can bring you closer to God,
Some people cannot make you trust again.

Words Become Lifestyles
Words make the man
And reflect what his heart contains
Thoughts become words
And when spoken they remain
Words that are repeated
Become habits in the end
Habits formed become lifestyles
That later may be hard to amend.

My Idea Book (Cinquain)
Richness
Treasured pages
Gems of wisdom therein -
Bountiful ink from which I write
Bible.
'The unfolding of Your Words gives light;
it gives understanding to the simple.'
Psalm 119: 130

Inconsistency
Your Love off-key
Sings a fickle melody of changing tones,
Shall vex this frozen heart to Ice
That breaks.

' Men are alike in their promises; it is only in their deeds that they differ.'

Departures (Naani)
Death comes-
For this is the way of all flesh,
The sickle cuts and men board
The swing doors tagged
'Departures'.
'To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven...a time to be born...and a time to die.'
Ecclesiastes 3: 1

Where is He - Is He Dead?
Where is he -
Is he dead?
Where is the poet
Whose poems I just read?
I hope he still writes
It's a pity if he's gone
He may have lost the fight
But his poems will live on.
We are like miners of gold
These poems are the treasure
Though all poets will grow old
We had the best of pleasure!

Alone
At break of day
I turned
To touch
Your side of bed
Forgetting
You had gone...
Yesterday.
At breakfast
I had two cups
Prepared
For coffee
Closed eyes
Hoping
You will
Come
back.
The rains came
Pouring down

She's No April Fool (Free verse)
Selfish restrictions
Gripping the heart.
Unmasked emotions,
How did it start?
Writhing in pain
To set herself free,
Slowly in tears,
To gain liberty.
At last, it's over!
With wings beautiful-
A butterfly lover
She's no April Fool.

Dog Lesson For Anchors
The dog is not a nice kitten
So you never should try to kiss him
Don't try to make the 'eye to eye'
Or you would be kissing your lips goodbye.
For the dog only does it from instinct
And we humans are expected to think
That the dog just reacts on the show
When he bites someone he does not know.

For Miriam, An Epigram
Strange for Disrespect
To be annoyed
When mirrored in another
How Pride reacts when toyed
And practiced by a brother.
T his was written in jest for a lady senator in the Philippines known for her arrogant behavior and temper tantrums, she recently had a dose of her own medicine. Touche!
