Admonition

Sons and daughters
Respect authority
In this World System
You need clarity
It can help, it can hurt
Have to know the laws
That govern earth
Be contented with a little
Than much behind bars

There is an urge to do wrong
Resist it!
There is an urge to listen to a filthy song
Resist it!
Even when you are hungry
And your belly turn
Resist it!

Cannot breathe without permission
In captivity

Evil On Foot

For ten years
Evil stood on the hills
Of Afghanistan
Evil on foot
Moved in and out of Pakistan

When he hit the West
Lives erupted in dust and smoke
Concrete and glass icons fell
Tears flooded the street of nations
All this
As Evil
Stroked his beard in victory

For ten years
Blood stuck to human corps
Evil reigned triumphant
Delighted in the carnage
And Justice waits

In Memory Of Peter R. Bruneau

Our lives crossed paths
At work and at school
You loved the lines,
Spaces and planes.
I never considered us close
Maybe because of our
Competitive spirits;
But your smiles
Displayed by the opening
In your front teeth
Is forever etched in my mind.

No one, in person
Told me you passed
I was just wondering
What may have happened
To you or to find
Your general whereabouts;
So I Googled your name
And found your obituary

Eternal Destiny

Jesus can be trusted
With your eternal destiny;
He cannot lie,
He cannot die,
He cannot fail...
He doesn't know how,
Evidenced by the blood.

Your life is wasted,
Your efforts came to naught.
Receive His trans-formative power today;
The hour you let Him in.

Jesus can be trusted with your secrets;
He has the capacity to forget.
When you are terminally ill
And gripped with hopelessness
He comforts with His nail-pierced hands.

Jesus is ever present ever sure

Anemic Capitalism

Communism is a fraud
But anemic capitalism aint no saint
The poor and marginalized
Not counted
Just pawns to be exploited

In the richest empire
Schools are on fire
Let the children out
For the penal system
Is a business

Barely covered
The breast cancer mother
Turned away
And away
From her hospital bed
She has two children
But no health insurance
The reporter said

Fragments

Sometimes a man's wealth is in his fragments:
He goes about searching for riches everyday
and missed it under his door mat.
...will even work two jobs, compromising his health.
Dies before his time so another gains
what he worked for.
A man void of faith and hope he did not pray.
He never knew he would withered;
he never knew he was mere mortal.

Now the scavengers are looming
above his exposed corps;
he will be consumed as an animal;
certainly, he lived as one.
How misleading self can be,
how transient mortals flee.
Without The Savior,
without The Redeemer,
this temporal life is all we see.

A Glimmer Of Hope

Like any life you began at conception:
you never asked to be here;
two lives met, love sparked,
passion exploded, you made.

At an early age you fell in love with the pages.
People said you were destined for greatness.
But as life would have it,
you tried but now you are dying,
even though greatness beckons, come.

We saw how you gripped the curtain,
while taking your last look at the garden.
Your countenance glowed,
as if some mysterious being
showed you a sign of hope.
Friends that visited the hospice
said you were not a religious man;
but we knew you saw something
or someone through the window pane.

Here I Come-4

Holy holy is He
So merciful
Lion and King
Wonderful Counselor
Holy holy
Holy holy is He
Holy holy is He
Forever holy.

Most High God
Holy holy
Prince of Peace
Mighty Redeemer
King of Kings
Most High God
Holy holy
Holy holy is He
Holy holy is He
Forever holy.

Agony

Ever wonder how He felt?
Praying in the garden
His students asleep
Could not watch for an hour
He knew He had to die
Even if it's just for me
He would be scourged
He would sweat blood
Even if it's just for me
Agony!

There He was, fixed
Nails in hands and feet
For a moment
Abandoned by God
Agony!

They pierced Him
Blood and water gushed
Mom at His feet

Come My Child

He stands on top
of the mountain
and says come my child.
Come and dwell with me.
Let me teach you my ways.
Let me nurture you
like a father.
Be not be afraid,
take one step
and I will guide you
by the way.
Come experience
limitless love,
limitless provisions,
limitless mercy,
even limitless grace.

I know your sins:
confess and turn away
from your ways
