Someone Comes Along
Every so often
Someone comes along
That makes you want to sing a song
Or laugh and be free
They fill you with glee
A person who can brighten your day
A person who always knows what to say
From time to time
A person will appear
Who makes all worries disappear
This I know is true
Because that person happens to be you

Blank Pages
Blank pages
Blank books
Lie with only drowning white
No pretty messages in the sand
No clocks to turn a hand
Blank pages
Blank books
Looking into an empty void
Like staring at purgatory
Words with no meaning making up a story
Blank pages
Blank books
Stay staring at the celing
Empty without effort
Nothing without words

The Hourglass
The Sands of your time
Gently slide against your hourglass
Time is running out
Better make your life count
The hands of the clock
Always moving
The ticktock
Never ceasing
Each day is lost
You can never gain it back
Time is always continuing
Never frozen
Once that sand
Stops moving

Actions and Reactions
Infinite
Finite
Beginnings
Ends
The flip side
of the coin
There are opposites
To everything
More than one
Side to the story
To each beggining
There is an end
To each end
There is a beggining

Brilliant Like Starbursts
It pierces
Through the air
Thoughts unspoken
Shatter like glass
A million unseen pieces
Break through the seamless
Sharp as a knife
It Cuts through deceit
Straight to bone
Brilliant like starbursts
It shines bright in dark
Illuminating the unknown
True and pure

Chandlers
Chandlers
Hang from the ceiling
Perfect little
Crystalline shapes
Reflect light from within and without
Illuminating everything
No shadows lingering about
No lies
No decite laying naked and bare
Rays of light
A dazzling display of iridescent light bulbs
Shining through the chandler
With not doubts or marks
To indicate impurity

Catchfire
It's only needs a spark to catch fire
Bone dry and brittle
A dying forest
Deprived of water
Dead trees seem to blanket the
Once healthy, vibrant forest floor
Leaves and yellow grass are like a disease
Slowly consuming all that is green
Fires rage everywhere
Not here, not yet atleast
But,
It only needs a spark to catch fire

My Wild-Eyed Child
My wide-eyed child
So sweet are you
Innocent and pure
Untouched by the filth of man
A Baby's Breath for you
My wild-eyed child
With eyes so bright they shine
Open to the world
Open to the universe
A Red Carnation for you
My sleepy-eyed child
Close your little eyes
Drift off to rest
Sleep soundly and well
A White Poppy for you

Are You Ready to Leave?
The ups and downs
The fight and strife
Will you make it through?
Together and whole?
Or will the strain of loneliness
Be to great to bear?
Striving for what you want
Will take you away from what you have
Are you ready to leave?
Are you ready to grieve?
For what you lost
Something you held so close
A first love burned to dust

Fading Starlight
Starlight fades into
The grey of dawn
The moon vanishes
Replaced by the sun
Stars extinguish
One by one
Blinking out
Just barely out of reach
Slowly, a sleeping world
Awakens to the
Aftermath of endless
Yesterday's
And After today's limited time
Has been spent and done
Night will come again
Bringing dreams to a restless world
